About The Club
Hello and welcome to Premier Taekwondo London. We are an associate club of Premier Taekwondo, are based in London and the club is run by Master Mehdi, 7th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.
Our club opened in 2014 and runs sessions for all ages and abilities from Lil’ Dragons, (suitable for ages 3-6 years), through to Advanced and Sparring classes.
We have 4 qualified instructors to guide students through their taekwondo journey and to help them achieve their goals. We pride ourselves on recognising that each student has their own unique set of goals and achieving those goals is often a different experience for everyone. Some students want to get or keep fit, others to gain their black belt and some wish to take taekwondo to the sport side and join our sparring team. There is a class suitable for everyone, no matter what your experience or fitness level. It all starts from that first time you walk through the door of the dojo and make the decision to join the fastest growing martial art in the world.
Hi, I’m Master Mehdi and I’ve been an instructor at Premier Taekwondo London since 2014.
I began my taekwondo training in Tehran at age 7 and have been championing the sport ever since.
Between the years of 1990-1996, I competed in many Kyorugi (sparring) competitions and earned many medals and trophies, including 2nd place in the under 16’s Iranian National Championships and 1st Place in the Tehran Province student championships.
I gained my 1st Dan Black Belt in 1996 and have continued to learn and train as often as possible to more recently achieve my 7th Dan Black Belt which, I am extremely proud of.
My journey as an instructor began in 1998 at my local club as I was keen to pass on my knowledge to others and help them to achieve as I had. I opened my own club in Iran in 2000 and haven’t looked back since. It was a pleasure to become a part of the Premier family when I moved to the UK and to feel satisfied in the knowledge that taekwondo truly is an international sport that reaches across the globe to all ages, abilities and walks of people. Being a family man with a taekwondo family, it felt like my family just expanded when I moved here and became a part of Premier.
I hope to continue learning and passing on that knowledge for the foreseeable future to all my students. There is no better feeling than seeing a student realise their goals and then be able to guide them through a fresh set of goals, always striving to achieve more knowledge. Taekwondo truly creates a thirst for understanding of the art that gives you a lifetime of joy.
