About The Club
Hello and welcome to Premier Taekwondo Batley. As an associate club of Premier Taekwondo, we operate in Batley, a club which is run by me, Master Walter (pictured to the right).
The club opened in 2010 and at present, teach foundation level Taekwondo. Classes are aimed at delivering strong technique, whilst encouraging pupils to challenge themselves physically and mentally, which, in turn promotes self-confidence.
Pupils work towards set goals and every 3 months, are given the opportunity to attend a grading and qualify for their next belt. This teaches pupils how to work hard to achieve their goals by learning self-discipline.
All pupils are encouraged to work to the best of their ability and make progress towards whatever goal they have set for themselves.
Hi, I’m Master Walter, in the Philippines where I started my Martial Art training in 1986 and I started my Taekwondo training in 1994, then, I became a certified Taekwondo instructor of The Philippine Taekwondo Association.
I started teaching Taekwondo in 1997 with only a single student in a fitness gym, after 2 months of teaching it grew to more than 50+ students in a session. Then, I taught Taekwondo in different schools and universities I handled students in 1 gym, 3 schools, 1 international school, and 1 university.
I was recognised as a National Instructor in the Philippines as well as National Referee in every Taekwondo competition. I had students who become Gold medallists in the National and International Competition i.e US and Korean Open tournaments. And now that I’m base here in England and been a part of the Premier family for a number of years now.
I love teaching the Tenets of Taekwondo first (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.) Then how to kick and punch. I love working with children. I want them to learn to be a good person, be respectful, humble and a fighter.
