When did you start taekwondo: About 5 years ago.

Why did you start Taekwondo:

I wanted to learn a martial art and how to defend myself.

Your favourite part about Taekwondo:

Sparring and teaching. Sparring keeps me fit and healthy, and I love seeing the next generation develop.

What have you achieved so far:

I have achieved a bronze medal at the British National Championships along with other gold/silver/bronze medals around the country in Open Championships. However my greatest achievement has to be when I was selected to be part of the Great Britain Development Team in 2015!

Your goals/ambitions:

My goals are to reach the National Team once again and represent my club and country internationally, also to finish the year ranked no.1 in the country and get a gold medal at the Nationals. This would be amazing as I am only a first year Junior!

Your other hobbies/interests:

I don’t really have many other hobbies as my life is taken up by taekwondo. I usually do my school work during my break/lunch times at school and then get home, have my dinner then go to the club.

However I still find time to spend with my friends and family as they are also a big part of my life! I don’t really mind doing taekwondo most nights of the week as not only does it keep me fit and healthy; but it provides brilliant opportunities for the future!
